What sets Aria Nigerian Suya Kitchen apart in the competitive culinary scene of the Greater Houston area? It is the dedication to authenticity, the mastery of flavor profiles, and the commitment to an exceptional guest experience. Here are a few elements that define our kitchen:
Mastery of Suya Preparation: The heart of our menu lies in our Suya. We meticulously prepare our signature spice blend, known as Yaji, which is the soul of this iconic dish. The meat—whether beef, chicken, or ram—is marinated deeply, ensuring that the smoky char from the grill perfectly complements the complex, peppery heat of the spices. This is not just grilled meat; it is an art form perfected over generations.
A Spectrum of Authentic Nigerian Staples: Beyond the celebrated Suya, our menu showcases the breadth of Nigerian cooking. Diners can explore hearty, flavorful staples such as perfectly cooked Jollof Rice, rich and savory Pepper Soup, and various pounded yam accompaniments served with deeply flavored stews. Each dish is crafted to deliver an authentic taste profile that resonates with Nigerian culinary heritage.
Commitment to Freshness and Quality: We believe that the best flavors come from the freshest ingredients. Our kitchen prioritizes sourcing high-quality proteins and produce. This dedication ensures that the vibrant colors and robust tastes of our dishes shine through, providing a dining experience that is both satisfying and wholesome.
Warm, Culturally Rich Atmosphere: While the food speaks volumes, the environment complements the experience. Aria Nigerian Suya Kitchen aims to provide a warm, inviting atmosphere where guests feel like honored visitors. The service is attentive, reflecting the renowned Nigerian spirit of hospitality, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and special gatherings.

Why would you get upset at a customer for taking a plastic bag? I ordered two meals today and went to pick them up. As I was leaving, I asked the front desk woman for an extra bag. She handed one to me with clear attitude and didn’t even … More

The quality has definitely went down over the last 2 months. The beef in the okra soup was so hard we couldn't eat it and the okra had a ton of hard pieces in it, along with more bones than fish. I ordered the suya platter and the shrimp … More

Loved the experience! I went in without any expectations as this was my first one at a Nigerian cuisine restaurant. I was pleased with the food and service.
Food is amazing! I loved the rich flavor. We ordered the Suya Wings, Suya Wrap (Beef), and Suya Meat (Beef). Each of these had a distinct rich flavor. We were given plantain chips as a free starter. I've read in other comments that the plantain chips come out of a bag. Big deal! It still tasted good to me, especially with the sauce it came with. I loved the wings! The sauce with it was spicy and delicious. 😋 A couple of things I wish were different - (1) Suya Meat beef was quite tough. Must be with the long cook time. More tenderness to the meat would have been nice. (2) Jollof Rice could have been more flavorful. It tasted bland.
The one gripe I have about the place is the time it took the food to come out. We went in when there wasn't much of a crowd. It took about 15 minutes for the appetizers to come out and close to 35 minutes until the food came out. I'm not sure how they would fare if the restaurant was really busy.

We decided to try Nigerian food for the first time. We ordered the beef oxtails, sampler, egusi with pounded yam, and side of plantains. The oxtail and sampler were a bit dry. We liked the plantains with the tomato base sauce. We think that egusi is an acquired taste. We also tried the Chapman, which was an okay drink. They didn’t have the zobo.
The decor is classy with black, white and gold themes. Our waitress was helpful with our questions and truthful about what she thinks.

We came looking for a unique experience and were rewarded! We had mango and guava juice, the appetizer tacos, spicy goat meat with jollof rice and plantains, and the pepper oxtail soup. The flavor is fantastic and everything was cooked to perfect tenderness.
The oxtail soup and spicy goat meat are VERY spicy. Our constitution failed us and we had to tap out on the heat and box up most of the food to-go. But we are looking forward to eating the rest of it slowly :).
A bit on the expensive side but I'd say it brings the appropriate value.

The food was superb. The quality and freshness were outstanding. My waitress was awesome. I visited the Pearland location and I would most definitely return. Everything was fresh and hot. Not to mention that the decor of the restaurant was nice and clean. I’ve been to quite a few Nigerian restaurants, and by far this was the best More

Food was excellent and very well seasoned! Portion sizes were also good. I ordered pounded yam with seafood okra and goat and I loved that they offered me a bowl of water to rinse my hands. Goat suya and jollof rice were also amazing! Service was quick and I will come back to try more dishes!

This was our first time at the restaurant, the place looks nice and clean but the AC was not working properly and if you know how hot Houston can get, AC is necessary even for sanitary purposes.
The food was not good, they bring you plantain chips from a Mama lycha bag pour into a bowl but the sauce they bring with it is delicious (we got the crumbles at the end of the bag they were served in front of us that is how I know they came from a bag), the rice had an Ok flavor but the texture was somewhat hard. The Fried sweet plantains were good and fresh but the beef oxtail was not good at all, they tasted like they were store on a plastic container and warmed on a microwave, they lack flavor even with dry rub they were covered.
They are newly open I hope they fix there issues and do well on the area.

Loved, loved my time here. The atmosphere was so welcoming and comfortable. Our waitress, Zara, was sweet and knowledgeable. The food was amazing. I ordered the Stewed Turkey and plantain with white rice and stew; my sister ordered the Suya Wrap with French fries; and my friend ordered the Designer Stew with rice and plantains. I also ordered meat pie. It was all so delicious. Will definitely be my go to for Nigerian Cuisine.

In my honest opinion, I will say that the food is good is just that it is oily and the oil is so bad it can clog up your arteries. Also, my food was warm. It wasn’t hot. They could’ve at least put it in the microwave nevertheless, the atmosphere is fire the Fire the only thing is that there’s entirely too much grease. It sits on top of your food. I believe they could do better with all of the oil sitting on top of your food. Also, I want my food to be hot. Not warm or room temperature it was literally almost cold .

Overall a very good experience with good food. It was the first time I went to a Nigerian fusion restaurant. Pepper cow skin (POMO) was very interesting and had a chewy texture that I wasn't expecting but the sauce that it was covered in was very good. The mighty platter is huge and has enough meat to share with someone else. I'm looking forward to coming back to try other things on the menu.

I’ve been to this place a few times just never posted a review. However it’s decent. I do think often times the food is old. My kids “tolerated” the Egusi Soup but we’ve had way better. When we asked the clerk if tripe comes with the assorted meat she mentioned she didn’t think so. Only to get home and tripe was inside. She also said there would be goat meat inside but there wasn’t and we paid $2 extra.
Anyway, if they could be a little more consistent and prepare “Fresh” food it would make a difference. The tripe and beef tasted as if it was part of another soup that they simply “added” !

Didn't get to eat at this establishment due to wait time~~ 30 minutes, had to return to work. The ambiance is moderate with a clean appearance, could use more lighting although. I've gotten mixed reviews from friends and coworkers. Will give it a shot, when next I'm in the area. More

Visited this location on a Sunday afternoon. While the good was great the service was horrible. The waitress had a bad attitude when questioning items on the menu, we had to ask for refills & to top it off they ran out of chicken & provide other alternatives which I obliged only to find out I was upcharged for the substitution without being properly informed. I bought this to the waitress attention she shrug nonchalantly & stated its on the menu with a nasty attitude. The waitress was Extremely rude & unprofessional based on the experience alone I will not return!

In this review, I discuss the ambience, menu and service and received at this restaurant.
Ambience was expectedly nice. Their other location is well designed so I expected no less. I love the decor here. The space is much smaller than the other location but it’s beautifully partitioned.
Menu is the exact same, prices look to be the same as well.
Service was really nice. Hostess (Zara) attended to me right away and had a great attitude. I spoke to the manager (owner?) as well and he was really nice and had a great disposition.
Honestly, I didn’t really expect much to be different here. I think vibe is great as usual.
P.S. They’re not open on Mondays and close at 8:30pm on Tuesday to Thursday and close at 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
